As stated previously in blog posts, Twitter is a huge part of BCM. This time we get to essentially break all movie moral codes and have our phones on and be talking to fellow classmates about the movie, sharing awesome quotes, favourite moments and fun facts.
Being able to chat, interact and hear other people’s opinions and thoughts on movies and where those thoughts take them is super insightful on seeing how other people interpret movies (or any media for that matter) and what we can all learn and teach each other through these interactions
A great example of this was during the “watch party” of The Arrival i was talking about how communication doesn’t just mean verbal but it’s to do with actions as well and how creating a WHOLE new language just for a 116 minute movie is such impressive work. As a collective we got to awe and some great sci-fi cinema and really connect over these impressive feats the people that worked on these films had to hurdle
I think having an outlet to send your excitement and other emotions to and have other people respond and chat about those moments with is very uniting and something super wholesome about the whole ordeal.
