This week we’re back again commenting on our Peer’s Digital Artefacts again and as always I (and probably most other people) am always so worried that I either will come across “full of myself” or “too critical”
( but that never seems to be the case ad maybe I’m just in my own head š
)
Some things I have to keep in mind when giving out the Peer reviews ,and even when it comes to reflecting on my work, are:
You’re Not Perfect! š”
You arenātā¦ and never will be close but you can learn to be better from your peers and learning from them can help you reflect on your own work and then hopefully return the favour and give that great feedback to others. When giving back feedback in a subject that you are doing at the same time thereās no way weād have all the knowledge on deck to help review, thatās why we read and use the marking criteria given to us to help grade our fellow classmates to make sure we are giving helpful information and rightful criticisms
The Classic “Treat Others as You would like to be Treated”š¤
Make sure you throw everyone some positivity, thereās never a reason to be “an ass” and “nit pick” or downplay someoneās work, especially when that work isnāt even in its beta stage yet but yet also be sure to be truthful and tell them where they can improve or what they can add to their project (in an encouraging manner obviously).
Some people I gave reviews to are:
Charlie is looking towards the future of her digital portfolio which takes form of an Instagram page that she has been working at for 3 years called @gracesagedesign where she continues to show work that she does and is dipping her toes into Instagram reels to help build a larger audience.
Alana is continuing her “Bookstagram” that she has been working on for the past 2-3 years, she already has as great understanding on brand continuity and using different digital platforms to help promote what she is creating.
I suggested she look into more forums such as reddit to help dip her toe in the community of the book she is reading at that time.
Gifty is continuing her previous Artefact aswell, She is looking to build up her following as well as to hopefully make some money off it too
